No, simply an odd upshot of the Canon Powershot camera. Sort of like the fish-eye bit on broad-bending lenses. Here'south a pic of the reticle and a new video I shot doing chronograph tests on iv pellets.

I merely got a couple tins of H&N hornet pellets a week ago. I got these in .25cal @ 24.38gr(previous version, newest is 23.16gr) from Pyramid Air. And they weren't cheap. Merely should brand a great pig pellet. Gonna test'em as shortly as it stops being so cloudy and night and then I can movie information technology. Will shoot at brusk range target through chronograph. Mayhap 8 yards or then indoors? I also finally got my Trigger stick, which I think I'll use in identify of the bench numberless just to get used to using it.

Very well done post that I appreciate as I'm considering a .25 spring gun. A few comments. Take them with a grain of salt. If you're going to try those Hornets, might besides attempt JSB Kings. Yep, they'll have a slower speed, maybe more drib; but the BC you listed as one.000 may ameliorate with JSB Kings. All I can say is at long distances, my JSB'due south ALWAYS hit way higher than any other aforementioned weight / dissimilar brand pellet.
I accept a risk to buy a tuned .25 Gamo Hunter Extreme Socom from a trusted young man I talked with years ago. It'south spitting the 19 or 20 grain pellets at 800 average. If it can even spit Kings at 750fps I'd be happy. I'd have to feel shot cycle with different weights, cheque accurateness, etc. I personally would use a .25 spring gun for 30 yards, MAYBE 50 maximum.
He also has an English tuned Patriot in .25. It has a front bract sight, area for rear sights, not sure if he has them even so or not as in picture information technology'due south scoped and has a gas ram. The Gamo is buttoned and a spring.
I've looked at the Benjamim 725's and am because information technology. I'k not sure on prices of the 3 in question here. Anyhow, I'll review your video and info and consider more. Besides I call back your spread will shrink once information technology breaks in. I'd slug that barrel and feel for tight spots. I had several Benjamin XL gas rams in .177 and .22 and I have to say I wasn't happy. That was a long time agone.

Okay, time for some updates! I inverse the B/C in the Chrono APP to .010. That volition exist a lot closer to actual. And here'south a video where I tested the H&N hornet in 24.38gr in .25cal through the Trail NP XL725, and the hornet 16.2gr in the Striker 1000x;
And and so, when I and Kenny Kormendy of my air gun reviews swapped some of my older, 24.38gr hornets for his newer, lighter, 23.16gr hornets, I did this new video where I pit one against the other;
We both got them from PA too. I gauge they were selling out the older, heavier ones first?

Good info,
how is the accurateness ?
last April my brother and I both purchased this rifle. Previous experience was with my early NP Crosman .22 and a NP2 version besides in .22. Both of these rifles shoot awfully good .
Later 11 different pellet types in these .25 rifles nosotros have been left terribly disappointed in both the accurateness and consistency of these rifles. I wish Benjamin would take them back and refund our coin.It has been very frustrating.
I have spoke with their tech people a few times and the make sure the screws are tight, is the scope good ? and try unlike pellets and just shoot more than suggestions we are about done.
FWIW swapped scopes 5-vi times with known quality ones from my centerfires and other pellet rifles.
Nosotros however love the experience of the rifles and the damn hard hitting .25 pellet. Even so the shifting point of aim and poor groups have united states of america reaching for the >22 versions.
Any suggestions on help with accuracy ???

Your not decision-making the harmonics of this rifle consistently during the shot (recoil) information technology'south jumping around on y'all (even off a residual), that's why you lot are suffering from poor accuracy. With enough practise and consistent command (agree and trigger) y'all should be able to stack pellets at 30 yards easily.

Well how should it exist held ? Honest question hither not existence a smart ass. Nosotros take tried many different holds and rests ands shot a few grand pellets of many different pellet types.
Stacking at 30 yards ??? Be happy to hit a pop tin can at thirty yards with these with consistency.
I used to exist a competitive long range rifle shooter and benchrest competitor later scoring skilful many times in the Corps so have a rudimentary pedagogy of consequent hold and trigger control.
Does everyone who has this rifle stack them at 30 yards ?? did we just get por examples here??

I yet need a ride to the range to test a truckload of my rifles! Not allowed to shoot annihilation outside around here. Then nosotros'll see what it does @ 25yds. And no, I didn't arrive. Bought it.

I have this gun in 22 cal. I put in a new trigger which made it shoot a chip better only it is non a tack driver past any means. It is very heavy and hard to shoot offhand. If you demote rest it mine but shoots well if i residue it on my hand. I dont shoot it much anymore considering information technology is frustrating. Just information technology is powerful and authentic enough for hunting 25 yards.
